In a thousand words or less, how did Jerry Baldwin "happen". I was busy, very busy at the time and other tan seeing him being interviewed with a tooth pick hanging out of his mouth, didn't know much about the guy.

Oh my! In addition to the 2 black HC's, we were the first historically "white" college in the deep south to integrate. No National Guardsmen needed either; no governor standing in the doorway: no riots. And that was in the 1950's, not the '60's.

I also seem to remember him saying that the university cancelled his TV coaches show costing him money when they could no longer find anyone to sponsor it due to the teams success.

More importantly he singed a 4 year contract and was paid in full for 4 years...Nothing to do with Race, rather obviously based on performance and results ( or lack of)

There are/were many facets to the lawsuit. Most have either been dropped or dismissed. The one thing left is the racial discrimination claim.
