LAFAYETTE - Thousands of Louisiana citizens rallied in the Cajundome Wednesday against the federal offshore drilling moratorium placed on drilling in deep sea waters, leaving standing room only.
Among the various political, oil field CEO and civilian speakers were Gov. Bobby Jindal, Lt. Gov. Scott Angelle and Lafayette City-Parish President Joey Durel.
“We have come to send a simple message to Washington D.C.,” said Jindal. “Let our people work.”
