Thread: Chris Gradnigo Granted Transfer Release by UL

UL Basketball Re: Sources: Chris Gradnigo granted release by UL, to transfer

I think our new coach probably saw CG was not putting in the effort or leading the others as a senior player should be expected to and told CG he should pack up and go. This is a message to our other players that non-effort is no longer to be tolerated.

A short-term problem that will turn into a long-term benefit!

Chris could play, at times. other times he pouted. Did Labato have a hand in this?

LeBato is not at Denver. Therefore I doubt he had any impact on this decision.

What does Denver have to do with this?

LeBato's nephew signed with Denver. I wouldn't be so quick to overlook his involvement in Gradnigo's decision to leave, at least according to my sources.

Right, what I am trying to figure out is why Rick being in Denver has anything to do with it. If he was upset because he wasn't retained, he may have done this.

Gradnigo was one player that didn't improve during his stay. He was far from a team player or someone who hustled. The team played better when he had splinters in his butt! Another bad attitude gone.

Good! We win in both situations. Rid of a HS coach #2 and a loafer on the floor.

Spoke with Gradnigo and LeBato earlier tonight. More later.

The "rest" of the kids have been working out every morning at 6am. Then coming back doing individual workouts and playing pick up along with attending class. They knew Chris was not all the way in since the comments about making him play the 4 position. Chris has skills that will be missed but the "rest" are dedicated to the new system so let's support them.
