Rams' Cockrell commits to UL

  UL's baseball team recently picked up another verbal commitment from an area standout.

Cord Cockrell, a rising senior pitcher/shortstop at Acadiana High School, pledged last Thursday night to sign with the Ragin' Cajuns this fall.

Just couldn't get to the games and couldn't justify to the Mrs. the expense but with these local kids coming, most of which I have watched since LL, I think it is time to make the time to go back to the games.

Cord is a great kid who comes from a very nice family. Coached him in basketball in his younger days, great talent. He is very driven and focused in every sport I have watched him in! Glad to have Cord and his family at UL for the next 4-5 years!
