That's a lesson the UL athletic department learned about seven years ago following the renovation of the athletic administration building on Reinhardt Drive.
While the training room, equipment room, dressing room and weight rooms were all made larger and nicer than ever before, the expansion in those areas eliminated the meeting rooms that previously existed.

Thank you to all that attended, it means a great deal to us. We had a great time and I'm so happy that uncle Bob was recognized for all the things that he has done for Louisiana athletics. Thank you, from the Fournet family to the Cajun Family!
GEAUX LOUISIANA!
In no way am I trying to cheapen the generosity of the Fournet's. Their gift of 150K was unbelievably generous.
And I have never been back there to see the area. However, is it my understanding that the double wide trailers will stay there for an extended period of time. It seems to me that that would be prime expansion space for the complex. Or at least an area to build a permanent recruiting zone that is not double wides.
Just asking, thanks.
Again thank you so much to the Fournet family. It is unbelievable to have generous fans like you.
No offense taken, I'm in 100% agreement with you that the space is prime for complex expansion and something more permanent. From my understanding the $150,000 that was donated was for the naming rights of the recruiting zone only. I personally would love to see something more permanent or built around/into the athletic complex, even something leading up the hill overlooking Cajun Field. But as far as what the future hold I have no idea what their plans are.
I would like to see a 5 story building housing all athletics.
The side of the hill could be dug out to ecompass more square footage.
1st and 2nd floor could house all coaches and office administration for athletics.
3rd floor would have windows looking out towards the field to give athletes something beautiful to look at while they're working out.
4th and 5th floor could be luxury suites along with a Cajun store that can be accessed from the top of the Swamp or from the 1st floor of the building.
I remember Turbine posted a picture of a similar rendition about 6 years ago.
This idea is similar to how the end zone is at WVU.
a thousand thanks to jacques, henri, and the rest of the fournet family!
