The 5-foot-8, 180-pounder is the second area player to be recognized this season as a MaxPreps.com All-American, joining UL-bound shortstop/pitcher Ryan Leonards of Notre Dame (second team small school).

"It's definitely a big honor for me," said Girouard, who will join the Ragin' Cajuns as a preferred walk-on in the fall. "I feel really honored to be an All-American on top of winning the state championship and being the state 4A MVP."
