I am just absolutely shocked that we are able to land this recruit. I mean, we got lucky with Justin Robichaux, but to get Austin is just mind boggling. Kudos to Coach Robe and his staff for somehow convincing the kid to come here.

He basically said, "I'm going to coach Austin somewhere". That somewhere is going to be here, and we'll get Robe for another 5-8 years. Well deserved. He just be around to be able to play on "the field that Robe built".

This will be a wait and see how high he gets drafted type of deals. Pitching staff is shaping up real nice though.

Word was that he was throwing in the low 90's last year as a junior, and pro scouts were already looking hard. The gist I heard was you may be looking at a 2-3 round selection, which could make it interesting during signing period.
