He brought his ace pitcher into his hotel room in South Carolina after losing game 1 and asked him if he wanted to make the finals of the Super Regional or if he wanted to go to Omaha. If he wanted Omaha he would hold him to game 3. Forgot the names but they decided to roll the dice for Omaha. RP if it existed back then would have roasted him had it not worked out. He had a team of alpha males such as Nate Nelson that probably made that decision a little easier

Understand. Not sure why the other poster brought up potential mismanagement. Robe made so many personnel and tactical adjustments during our WS run. He and his players were phenomenal. Arguably the most enjoyable run in the history of Cajun athletics.

And to complete the story.... The decision to start Andy had already been made... The coaches wanted by in..... Andy's fastball could not break a plane of glass,,, I think Justin Gabriel had pitched game 1...Fast ball pitcher.... Dohman... fast ball pitcher.... the coaches felt Andy's change up would throw Carolina off stride... it did.... the Dohman fulfilled his promise

I thought you already had them ready. CWS appearances are not the litmus test for success. Regional births and advancing to SR is the goal. CWS is a byproduct of that.

If we do not have a significant postseason run over the next four year I think your minority view will become the majority view.
