LAFAYETTE, La. (AP) - The Louisiana Supreme Court has reinstated the 30-year sentence of a woman who pleaded guilty to killing one person and injuring three others while driving under the influence of legal and illegal drugs.

Marilyn LeBlanc pleaded guilty in March 2008 to one count of vehicular homicide and three counts of negligent injury in connection with an April 21, 2007, crash in Lafayette Parish.

In September 2008, a trial court judge sentenced LeBlanc to the maximum of 30 years in prison for the homicide charge and six-month sentences for the negligent injury charges to run concurrently. She appealed the conviction and sentences, and the state appeals court vacated the 30-year sentence as excessive.
