Seafood and Rice Supreme
I learned my lesson from the last blog. If crawfish that isn’t from around here tastes that bad, then shrimp must be the same. I’m certainly not going to risk it. I hunted around the grocery store until I found shrimp AND crab meat that said “Product of the USA” on the package. Just because you see a name like “Boudreaux’s” on the package, doesn’t mean that the fine print won’t say “Product of China” so be sure to check.
I also spent a very long time looking for_Worcestershire_sauce at the grocery store. It wasn’t in the spices section, as I had originally thought. I was too nervous to ask for help because I just knew_that I would mispronounce the word and get a funny look. I still don’t even know how to say it properly. All I know is that it tastes yummy. With the assistance of my twitter friends (I was live-tweeting my grocery shopping adventure, my life is SO eventful), I found the_Worcestershire_sauce. It is near the ketchup and other condiments. Now you know where to find it, in case you are shopping and are too afraid to ask someone. Now you still_don’t have to know the correct_pronunciation. You’re welcome.
The rest of the recipe...
This dish was very delicious. If I make it again, I will probably not put it in the oven. I think the only purpose of putting it in the oven is to make the rice crispies turn crunchy. I don’t like crunchy food, so I think I’ll just cook it in the pot and not add the rice crispies. I also used more seasonings than the recipe called for, I must confess. I’m starting to get the hang of this whole “cooking thing”!!
