He will never be given true credit for his 3 point prowess, but at least you can know what a great player he truly was.

All-American three times at Louisiana, between 69-73.
- For his career, he averaged 31.2 points a game.
- His career point total of 3,493 points, is second alltime in NCAA basketball.
- As a sophomore, he led the nation’s college division teams in scoring with a 36.0 average.
- As a junior Bo led the country’s university division with a 36.3 average.
- Bo Lamar led the University of Louisiana (USL) to a 74-13 record in his three final seasons.
- Dwight went on to star in the ABA, and NBA.
Dwight "Bo" Lamar is truly on of Louisiana's alltime greats.

If only the 3 pointer was credited in the early seventies Bo would have well over his 3493 career points.
In the opinion of one eyewitness -who states he rarely missed games at Blackham Coliseum- the bulk of Bo Lamar’s shots seemed to be from 3-point land. If so and he were credited with an average of 4.5 (3P) shots made per game, Bo would have around 3997 career points.
check out the elevation on his shot.
Great intro into the video, Turbine! Would be nice to see our local sports guys use something like that.

A Dwight "Bo" Lamar outside shot during the 1970-71 season.
Bo with an -impossible to defend- outside hook shot.
Dwight thrived in a zone that came to be know as 3 point land, but was only credited for 2 points per bucket.
