IMO one of the biggest busts/wastes of talent in the history of sports. Dude had superman physical talent, but no work ethic or respect for the game.

That stuff aint just any cough syrup. Pretty sure any team that was looking to take a chance at signing him has pretty much backed off of that idea. This guy needs some guidance. Such a waste......

we'll be hearing more about the "purple drank" in the future. in response to a previous poster, this is more than just "cough syrup." it's almost pure codeine in a syrup form. it's abuse seems to have grown out of the southern rapper sub-culture. the codeine, a barbituate, is mixed with various benign substances and then drunk. some forms of it are a mixture with sprite or 7-up and called "sip-sip." this purple drank is another mixture. this stuff is like hydrocodone in a syrupy elixer. it seems to be the latest craze among certain young nfl-ers and nba players with ties to the rap music scene. certainly not the only area of abuse, merely the "hippest." a definite drug problem on the rise. codeine is in no way a new drug. but this whole new scenario involving it seems to be cutting edge in a pronounced negative way.
