The Cajuns brought back their top five scorers from last season, plus they added Florida transfer Orien Greene midway through the season. This team has the talent to win a few games. Putting it against NC State in round one isn't much of a bonus for the second-place team in the ACC. Giving the Cajuns as a gift means NC State will have to earn a first-round win maybe more so than any other No. 3 seed.

I think what a higher seed would have done for the Cajuns is allow them to get past the 1st game jitters.
