Crawfish Etoufee


Crawfish etoufee is one of my two favorite foods. My other favorite food is fried catfish. This looked like an easy recipe to make it.

I couldn’t find Louisiana crawfish at all. I had to use Chinese. That was the one, fatal mistake of this dish. Even as I was cooking it, I could smell a difference.

The people who work at the grocery store near my house are beginning to recognize me. I’m there every other day, or so. They’ve begun to wave at me, or smile when they see me. It’s pretty nice, but I don’t want them to think I’m nuts for shopping so often and getting so few items. I certainly don’t want to make things awkward and explain “Oh, it’s because I write this blog, and blah blah blah grandma blah blah blah.” So I think I’ll just walk in, grab my few ingredients, pay, and leave without words. Like I do every time.
