Lingering deep tropical moisture will linger across the area through Friday keeping high rain chances for Acadiana. A Flood Watch continues for most of Southern Louisiana and Acadiana for the possibility of training storm cells that could produce several inches of rain.
Rain chances should decerese slightly on Saturday and more so on Sunday as models are indicating that a weak area of low pressure may develop off of the southeastern Louisiana coastline Sunday into Monday.
This may actually help to bring in drier more stable air into the region. Interestingly enough models keep this feature nearly stationary for a few days so additional tropical development, perhaps a depression are possible. Stay with KATC for the latest as the forecast beyond a couple of days could change.
