For the third straight year, the A's are celebrating the anniversary of a World Series win, this one with the 1974 team, before Saturday's game against the Chicago White Sox. In a couple of weeks, the Giants will be celebrating a world championship, too, but they have to go back to the 1954 team, which played in New York. Alvin Dark will be at both celebrations. He managed the A's in 1974 and was a key player in the 1954 Giants triumph.
