For the third time in the last five years, those who suited up (and stayed suited) gave us a Super Bowl that can be counted among the best ever played. And this one was even sweeter not just for the furious final act, but for all the suppositions that got turned on their heads: Carolina not being able to run or stop the run, Jake Delhomme being far from a weak link.

Is Jake Delhomme a one-year wonder?
Delhomme was a career backup until his opportunity came last season in Carolina one week into the regular season and he seized it. He lacks the obvious talent that would lead anyone to assume he could take a team to the brink of a Super Bowl victory, but last season he showed the leadership and intangibles legends are made of.
