Raging through the Pages of the Web * The St. Cloud River Bats have added right-hander Josh Kohrs, a junior from Louisiana-Lafayette, to the staff. Kohrs, who is 6-foot-4 and weighs 225 pounds, played for Bats pitching coach Charlie Hovey at Maple Woods (Mo.) Community College. Kohrs is expected to arrive in St. Cloud early next week.

"I'm waking up tomorrow morning and lighting candles," he said Friday. "I'm pulling for him so bad, you don't understand. I want to see it. What was the last one, Affirmed in 1978? I was 3 years old, I hardly remember.
"Certainly he looks the part; you hate to say the word `cinch' in horse racing, because those words don't go together, but gosh, he looks like he's going to be tough to beat. ... Tomorrow I'll be riding with him -- I might even straddle the sofa."
