MIAMI -- Florida International fired basketball coach Donnie Marsh on Wednesday following a 5-22 season, the worst mark in the program's 18-year history.
Marsh, 47, was 31-84 in four years at the school. He will be reassigned within the university, athletic director Rick Mello said.
"We just feel from a competitive standpoint, that it is time to seek a new direction," Mello said.
