Even with the Obama Administration's promise of an appeal, Tuesday's developments on the drilling moratorium were welcomed news for many in Acadiana.

"I was ecstatic," said Lance Thibodeaux, who was laid off from his job in the oil-service industry three weeks ago.

Thibodeaux says the moratorium was to blame for losing his job and the past few weeks have not been easy for him and his family.

"It's been hectic trying to make ends meet, I mean I had a Jeep and I had to sell the Jeep to start helping out to pay the bills," Thibodeaux said.
