LOUISIANA La. — The experience of having played five earlier matches against nationally-ranked teams was invaluable for Louisiana's men’s tennis team here Sunday.
The Ragin’ Cajuns pulled off a big upset at Cajun Courts, winning four of the six singles matches in posting a 4-3 dual match victory over 26th-ranked Tulane.
Louisiana (3-4), ranked 71st in the national listings, took its second win of the year against a ranked team and did it by winning a pair of three-set matches in singles. Shaun Ellison took a third-set tiebreaker win over Alberto Sottocorno at No. 5 singles to provide the eventual margin.
