Concealed weapons are a signature away from being allowed in some of Louisiana’s houses of worship.

The proposal was sent to Gov. Bobby Jindal, who supports it, Thursday after the House passed the proposal with a 64-26.

Any churches, synagogues and mosques choosing to allow concealed weapons will have to inform their congregations of the decision. The proposal does not affect any church on school property.

For any person who wishes to carry a concealed weapon into a church, an extra eight hours of tactical training each year will be required.
