Crowley - Tuition increase approved by lawmakers
BATON ROUGE - Students at public colleges across the state will face higher a tuition increase starting this fall.
Lawmakers on the Legislature’s joint budget committee agreed Wednesday to allow campuses to increase tuition up to 5 percent for the upcoming 2010-11 school year. The increases are estimated to bring in an additional $31.5 million for the colleges next year.
