Lafayette police are working a standoff in the 400 block of Glendale Street.
Officers were trying to serve the suspect papers when he barricaded himself inside.
Apparently family was concerned about him last night; got a protective order to have him institutionalized--those are the papers officers went to serve today.
Police do not know if the suspect is armed.
