I don't think CUSA would be too impressed with the latest additions to the WHACK.

The wac will be DEAD after this season. With Hawai'i, Nevada and Fresno going to MWC, the only viable 1-A teams left in that conference will be NMSU, SJSU, and the nechs.

Default Big East adds Boise and four others. THANKS ESPN!

All the teams except for UCF are west of the Miss. River. WTH???? This is getting crazy. Boise St. is looking for an AQ conference and a better TV deal. I can understand they are all in "survival mode", but my god! Do they realize that their fans and students can't make these road games, or do they even care?

THANKS ESPN, LOOK AT WHAT YOU HAVE DONE TO COLLEGE FOOTBALL!!!!!

I hope the new NBC Sports Network can compete with ESPN. I am tired of the monopoly on college sports.

You are blaming this on ESPN? I'd say it has more to do with the evolving nature of college football and the BCS rather than ESPN but oh well.

My point exactly, Z. And if NBC Sports creates a division that then competes with ESPN, that will pump even MORE money into college athletics. That will not improve the current state of college sports.

I think one thing everyone is missing is: UL is playing San Diego State on the 17th. SDSU is going Big East. We now have the chance to make our up coming WIN bigger. A chance to really make a statement for our program, our athletics our University, THE UNIVERSITY OF LOUISIANA.

Its not so much ESPN as it is just a general expansion of available broadcasts (ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN3.com, ESPNU, Versus, various FoxSports networks, etc.). It used to be a major concern to put butts in the seats, but now most of the dollars come from tv contracts.
