The executive director of the Coastal Conservation Association (CCA) of Louisiana testified on Capitol Hill Thursday. David Cresson's testimony was centered on the short and long term impacts of the Crude Disaster. Cresson proposed a $20-million program to build artificial reefs across the Gulf Coast in an attempt to counter the impacts the Crude Disaster will likely have on recreational and commercial fishing in the state.
Such reefs were built with success following Hurricane Katrina. If you'd like to learn more about the CCA's efforts, click here.
