Denver crushes Cajun women

DENVER — Louisiana's Lady Cajuns basketball squad turned the ball over early, and never stopped turning it over here Saturday afternoon.

The Lady Cajuns had 16 turnovers in the first half, finished up with 27 and were never a threat as Denver rolled to a 73-49 Sun Belt win.

The Cajuns (11-9, 5-4), falling out of a tie for first place in the Sun Belt’s West Division, fell behind 13-2 early before back-to-back three-pointers by Alexandra Kotta, two baskets by Tiffany Washington and an Anna Petrakova jumper highlighted a 12-2 run that cut the margin to 15-14.
