I think he still is, but with more than 100 players and minus the retired jerseys you have duplicates for practice.

If you see White during practice it's defense and Red is offense.

I was wondering the same thing and was going to ask but I didn't make Thursday practice.

Obviosly he is a Guru in his own right.

I was going to meet the both of them when I was Swamped by 3 foxes from Baton Rouge. One was the mother of #53

  5. Default #72 Brandon Cox an imposing figure in Cajun line

LOUISIANA La. — Brandon Cox strikes an imposing presence in the UL Lafayette offensive line, standing 6-foot-7 and weighing in at just under 300 pounds.

Happily enough for Ragin’ Cajun quarterbacks and running backs, Cox also knows how to play football.

Best of all, the Irving, Texas, product is just a sophomore.

“Brandon started last year as a true freshman and was in on 841 plays,” offensive line coach Mike Gibson said.

“He established himself last year, and now he’s one of our leaders. We’re counting on him. He’s working hard. He takes a lot of pride in what he does. He comes to practice to get better.

“He still has many things he’s got to work on, but he’s not a high-rep type of guy. You tell him something once, and he’s got it.”

“Coach Gibson showed a lot of patience and confidence in me,” Cox said. “He critiqued everything I did. He was hard on me, but it was for the good.”

That ongoing critique has included hours of film study.

“At the end of last season, coach Gibson gave me a clip of my first game, compared to my last,” Cox said. “You could tell a big difference, from technique to everything.”

Combine improved knowledge with greater strength, and Cox figures to be a force in an improving UL front wall.

    You are very welcome.
I believe scrimmage #2 is set for Saturday at 1:30pm
I don't know the alternate time.
Here is a picture of RaginCajun77, gorcajun, and SwampHound at the scrimmage.

Silly question but, is there a specific entrance at The Swamp you have to go to if you wanna watch the scrimmage?

  12. UL Football Cajuns to hold scrimmage at 1:30pm

LOUISIANA La. — What kind of training camp is this?

Recent weather has been so cooperative that Louisiana's football coach Rickey Bustle has hardly had a chance to break out his water guns, with which he furtively squirts players who look like they’re getting too hot to concentrate.

August is usually a time of grinding heat and wilting humidity in south Louisiana, but it hasn’t worked out that way so far for Bustle’s Ragin’ Cajuns.

One way or the other, though, the Cajuns open the 2004 season two weeks from tonight against Northwestern State.

Today’s 1:30 p.m. scrimmage at Cajun Field is another step in laying the groundwork for that home opener, and a sense of urgency is apparent.

“We have to continue to improve,” offensive line coach Mike Gibson said.

“Offensive line is a developmental position, and I think we have a chance to be good up front. We’ve gotten stronger, and the people we’ve recruited are more athletic players.”

Center Ronnie Harvey remains the anchor of the front wall, playing bigger than his frame would indicate. Harvey is flanked by junior Greg Hodges and Bryan Lloyd, while sophomore Brandon Cox has moved from right tackle to the left side and Canadian newcomer Jesse Newman is at right tackle.
