EVERY BODY ON THE TEAM KNOWS MAYEUX IS THE BETTER PUNTER AND SEES WHATS GOING ON.
If you are not part of the team then how can you speak for them?

I bet I know who you are but will not embarrass you by calling you out, yeah I do know some guys on the team. The ones I know have more class than to talk bad about a teammate to an "outsider" or post it on a message board under a alias.

Cajun 065, your first post is PURE, UNADULTERATED, BS!! Are you telling me that Coach Bustle is sucking up to Nelson Schexnayder? What a crock!!!! It is people like you who want to ruin what Bustle is building. I don't know your motive(s) and really don't care. I do care that you are posting that drivel as gospel.

Cajun 065, the fact is that Bustle will NOT do anything to jeopardize the success of his team. He will not pander to anyone, and that includes the AD. Why would he do something as you suggest? Perhaps it may serve you to ask Bustle if he is being preferential because of the kicker being the AD's son. I think not. You are correct in saying that it is your opinion, and you are certainly free to express it anytime and anywhere But that is all it is an opinion that Schexnayder is getting preferntial treatment!! You certainly cannot ascertain that without going to the person who controls who starts as the kicker, and that person is Coach Bustle.

  9. UL Football Cajuns able to overcome unusual score

LAFAYETTE — Rickey Bustle has been coaching a long time, but last Saturday’s 27-24 homecoming victory over Arkansas State provided something new.

The Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns owned a 27-10 lead in the final moments of the third quarter, with the Indians facing a second-and-5 at their 20-yard line.

Antonio Warren plowed into the line and appeared to be stopped, but he kept churning when he heard no whistle blow and burst free for an 80-yard touchdown that lifted the Indians back into the game.

It was the second week in a row an opponent had emerged from a crowd and gone the distance against the Cajuns, but unlike the previous week at Idaho when UL missed tackles, the ASU play seemed to be over.

Two days of film review have done little to change Bustle’s reaction to the score.

“I’ve never seen anything like that in 27 years,” Bustle said. “His momentum was stopped, and he was laying across somebody. His knee wasn’t down. We had him by the legs, and then when you figured the play was over he pulled out.

“I don’t fault our guys for reacting to what they saw. There were officials coming in to mark it from both sides of the ball, but there was no whistle.

We are all entitled to our opinion, however when you make statements like

EVERY BODY ON THE TEAM KNOWS MAYEUX IS THE BETTER PUNTER AND SEES WHATS GOING ON.
you infer 2 things. 1) that you are somehow associated with the team and know that the majority of the team feels this way and 2) as cajuncharlie said you are infering that Coach Bustle and his staff would give special treatment to a player because of who his father is. That is an injustice to the player, his father and the coaching staff.

I know he signed with UL but I can't find anything on him. I also know he signed with Boise State but his signing with UL seems to have come after his signing with Boise State.

The other kicker I was wondering about is Charles Lee.

The one kicker I know a lot about is Sean Comiskey, only one missed extra point in 2 years.
You haven't mentioned Kicker Drew Edminston who dresses out as a true Freshman but is surely redshirting.

065, since you seem to have all the facts, when in fact you have about half, here's the rest of the story.

The two had similar averages. Schexnayder, however, kicks the ball much higher. The NET punting average with Schexnayder is considerably better than it was with Mayeaux. Mayeaux had his chance. He didn't get it done. Schexnayder has been inconsistent, but he's been better than Mayeaux. End of that part of the story.

By insinuating.....no....ACCUSING preferential treatment, you are questioning and insulting the integrity of our football coach. There are WAY too many on this board who aren't going to stand for that.

My suggestion is that you go away before you really ____ someone off and they decide to make this personal.

Oh, and if you post again, get rid of the caps. That's downright rude.
