After winning the Division II Junior College National Championship Saturday, three LSU Eunice players were taken in the Major League Baseball Draft Tuesday.

Bengals Shortstop from Breaux Bridge Ryan Broussard was drafted in the 18th round by the Los Angeles Angels. Broussard had previously signed to play for the University of Houston.

In the 23rd round, the Cleveland Indians selected Pitcher Tony Dischler from Rayne. Dishler had a record of (9-3) with an ERA of 3.29 this past season. He had signed to play next season for the Ragin' Cajuns. Both Dischler and Broussard now have the option to continue their careers in college or sign pro contracts.
