On June 7, 2010, at approximately 11:00 pm, officers with the Lafayette Police Department responded to the 200 block of Briarwood Drive regarding an Armed Robbery. The two male victims were inside of a garage at the residence eating and watching television when two black males armed with handguns approached them. The victims were ordered to the ground while the suspects rummaged through the garage. The suspects stole an undisclosed amount of cash, two cell phones and fled the area. One of the suspects struck one of the victims in the head with a gun prior to leaving.
The first suspect is described as a black male, approximately 6'00" tall, 160 pounds, light skin and wearing blue jeans and a t-shirt. The second suspect was a black male approximately 5'06" tall, with dark skin and wearing blue jeans and a t-shirt. Both suspects had their faces partially concealed with clothing. One of the victims suffered minor injury to the head.
Detectives are asking anyone with information about the incident or the identity of the suspect(s) to call the Lafayette Police Department or Crime Stoppers at 232-TIPS.
