I don't know about a catcher that was committed to FIU, but Manny Machado from Miami was committed to FIU and he was drafted at #3 overall.
The other FIU recruit is Kellin Deglan, a catcher from catcher. He went to the Rangers in the first round with the 22nd pick.
Deglan and Machado have both signed with FIU.
That's Kellin Deglin that Josh mentioned. Grades out as a 2nd or 3rd round pick, but he's a left handed batting catching with power so his draft stock rose. Let's hope all of FIU's recruits get drafted and sign.
Side note: The Astro's drafted Delino Deshields Jr. at #8 so he won't be attending LSU.
Any word yet on Dishler?

Not drafted yet. 4th round.
This is a Cajun message board, but it's worth noting that LSU has been hit hard so far with a number of its juniors and recruits getting drafted:
Georgia prep OF Delino DeShields Jr. to Houston in 1st round.
Texas prep RHP Zach Lee to Dodgers in 1st round.
RHP Anthony Ranaudo to Boston in sandwich round
C Micah Gibbs to Cubs in 3rd round.
OF Leon Landry to Dodgers in 3rd round.
Barbe SS Garin Cecchini to Boston in 4th round.
thats what makes recruiting so tough these days as well as building a program. Obviously u have to have a plan B in place knowing that some of your talent will be selected, but u just dont know. And having to play the waiting game on if and when they may or may not sign is tough on college coaches
