People in Melville say Buster's Nightclub can get a little rowdy on some nights, club patrons sometimes take their drinks outside and socialize in the street.
On a recent night when a Melville police officer responded and tried to break up the crowd, Mary Francis Thomas was one of many told to go into the bar or go home. Mary Francis and some eyewitnesses say she got into her cousin's car and an officer pulled her out. That officer's actions stirred so much frustration in the community, protestors are meeting Friday night to rally behind Mary Francis and criticize Melville Police.

Melville Police Chief John McKeel and the officer in question, met with KATC to discuss the allegations. McKeel says the crowd at the club was mostly drunk, Mary Francis got beligerent and his officer acted appropriately.
