BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - An East Baton Rouge Parish grand jury
has indicted a 25-year-old Zachary man and his 51-year-old mother
on aggravated rape charges involving a young girl.
The indictments of William Justin Barker
and Deborah Barker allege that the molestation occurred from Aug.
1, 2007, to May 31, 2009.
William Barker was arrested in February and his mother was
arrested in April. They remain in parish prison.
The Baker Police Department has said the victim is 10 years old.
Aggravated rape carries a mandatory sentence of life in prison.
It was not immediately known whether the Barkers have an
attorney.
