Pork Chop Skillet Meal
I’m very_disappointed. I failed again. I followed the recipe exactly. The picture that I took before I set it to simmer looks AMAZING. I was so excited. It was a neat concept. You cook the meat, then you put the bell pepper rings on top and stick uncooked rice inside of the little circle. Then, after it’s done, the rice is supposed to be cooked. At the end of my hour, it didn’t happen that way. My rice was still solid. Still uncooked. Most of the tomatoes were burnt or dry.
The before picture was so pretty that I was positive that the result would be the best thing I’ve ever cooked. Instead, it was probably one of the worst. I did_receive_some nice advice from twitter. Someone told me that when a person writes a recipe, it’s mostly a reminder to them about how they prepared it. I should just read it to get the concept, and change my own details. I think that if I cook this again, I am going to cook the rice on the side, then add it into the recipe halfway through the simmering, that way I have cooked rice. I might also add a little water to the pot so that the food doesn’t dry as quickly.
We still ate. I scooped the rice off of the pork chops, and we ate the meat. The pork chops were delicious!_
