With schools out for summer vacation, businesses are gearing up for a busier season by hiring part time workers for summer. For many college and high school students the heat is on to find a summer job.
There are plenty of options to choose from. City Club in River Ranch hires 70 people for the summer; 40 life guards and 22 grill workers, the rest work around the club. Another place people are finding the jobs is the mall, where the variety is never ending. City Club swim instructor Sara Hart said, "I don't think it's too hard to find a summer job. It depends where you're looking."
While Express sales manager Blake Duhon says the only downfall to working at the mall is that it's slow. "You would think the mall would be busy during the summer time but its not. Everybody is on vacation and then there's graduation. Everyone is pretty much gone."
The good news is, jobs are available so, if you're looking you'll want to pick up an application before it's too late.
