Jared Suire will be ordained into the Catholic priesthood this Saturday morning at St. John’s Cathedral in Lafayette.
Suire, 31, said he decided to become a priest while in his master’s program at The University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
“There were a few occasions along the way when I was praying and I felt like I was being asked to discern more seriously whether or not priesthood was for me,” he said.
Suire recalled one of the defining moments that helped him cement his decision.
