According to Vermilion Parish Sheriff Mike Couvillon, one Gueydan man is dead following an ATV accident yesterday afternoon.
Sheriff Couvillon says that approximately 9:00 pm last night Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a 911 call off of Oliver Road in Gueydan, and found the victim Preston Broussard Jr. w/m dob 2/12/49 of Oliver Road deceased from an apparent ATV accident.
Sheriff Couvillon says that family members indicated that Broussard was working on his property in the afternoon, and when he failed to return they became concerned.
Sheriff Couvillon says that the ATV that Broussard was on apparently flipped, causing Broussard to become pinned beneath the ATV.
