GRAMERCY, La. (AP) - The founder of Zapp's Potato Chips has
died.
The company's general manager, Rod Olson, says Ron Zappe
(Zapp-EE) died Tuesday in Houston, where he was undergoing
treatment for throat cancer. He was 67.
Olson says an exact cause of death was not immediately known,
but officials beleive it was a heart attack.
Olson says Zappe's wife, Anne, found him lying on the floor of
their apartment after she returned from an errand.
Funeral services are pending.
