Some worry the largest environmental disaster in U.S. history could be made even worse by a natural disaster, as hurricane season officially begins Tuesday.

With memories of storm surge following Hurricanes Rita and Ike still fresh in the minds of many residents in Vermilion Parish, some are wondering what might happen if oil is added to the equation.

"It's just one more thing to worry about with this oil spill situation," said Mark Shirley with the LSU Ag Center.
