The NCAA also has it's on mileage calculator you can find buried on their site.

UL to TCU is officially 433 miles.

Now quit reading this and get back to work......

p.s. Me and twenty close friends are crashing at your house if it is UT.

Thanks for the NCAA mileage calculator. It came in handy.

    1. Arizona State
    2. Virginia
    3. Florida
    4. Texas
    5. Coastal Carolina
    6. Georgia Tech
    7. UCLA
    8. South Carolina
I swapped Georgia Tech and UCLA in my final projections, making them #7 and #6 respectively. I will edit the lead post.

    Mark just posted his ...

    http://sebaseball.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1089596

He has the Cajuns as the 4th to last team in the field (I had them as the 5th ... just ahead of Elon).

It is scary how close we are on the Last teams in and Last teams out.

Now, I'm starting to be reminded of 2006. SEbaseball had the Cajuns as one of the last five in. And they didn't get it right.

The ONLY thing that makes me feel better this time is that we are a conference champion (and our RPI is a little higher).

For the first time, I'm sweating a little.

I do believe that if we are in, it's a lock that we are in Austin. It is the only site within 400 miles....and we are the only #3 seed that is within the 400 mile limit. (Baylor is also, but they can't go to Austin.)

The only way we aren't in Austin is if Texas State somehow gets in.

Jaybird if you are sweating it that is making me a little nervous. UL has not had much luck with the NCAA. That said I still think we are in.

I would in no way whatsoever feel vindicated (since I was one of the people especially upset after the Cajuns went 2-and-out in the conference tournament) but I have a really bad feeling about the Cajuns not getting in after having been screwed over by the NCAA so many times before. This is waaaaaay too close for comfort for my taste.

    Agreed.

The other significant difference (in addition to being conference champions and 9 spots higher in the RPI) is that our non-conference RPI was 105 in 2006. It is 44 in 2010.

Just hoping that going 2 and out doesn't come back to bite us. Hate it when we hand the selection committee an excuse to be stupid.
