Great place to eat. We ate there on the trip to see my brother graduate from Marine Corp in San Diego. Owner is a close friend of my uncle Joey and he was over there not too long ago, he was on the webcam thats on in the restaurant waving at all of us. It's strange to see a place out in California that looks basically like a Cajun restaurant down here. Very successful if I might add. We went in 1997 for my brothers graduation, still open and doing well.

You're right it really is a unique place, considering where it's at. Good area of Hermosa Beach also. Hermosa Beach pier is only about two blocks away. You can walk to the pier from the restaurant after eating to work off some of the food.

This is Upsetting Re: Ragin Cajun Cafe

Stephen has been asked to vacate his place because the owner of building he leases from wants to let his spoiled son open a bar/restuarant there. It's really a shame for Stephen, but he'll land on his feet, He's a Cajun! Read some of the comments after the article, people out there really loved this place!

So saddening, but the comments section was heart warming to see the growing support.

Someone asked a while back to let them know when Stephen finds a new place. Well looks like the place in Hermosa Beach will close this month and new place is in shopping center at the corner of Sepulveda and Rosecrans if I'm not mistaken. Right across street from Chevron refinery.

Ragin Cajun Cafe'Sunday January 30, 2011 will be our last night at the Ragin Cajun Cafe in Hermosa Beach. We will be moving to Plaza El Segundo in Spring 2011. Please come by & say good-bye! We cannot wait to move!!
