So baseball momentum and football momentum are different??? Care to explain that logic?

Yea, they had to win the conference to get in. They then carried that momentum into the NCAA's and won the whole thing.

Dont spin it. The public perception that you need to be winning to carry it over into the postseason is a myth disproven by numerous teams.

If you want to drink the kool aid, thats fine. Its much tougher to be all worried.

I guess from now on I'll just skip listening or watching them in the conference tournament. Why bother even playing if you're not going to try to win?

Also, how many teams have carried the wave of "momentum" and won the CWS??

Go be worried somewhere. I'll have faith that we will be ready. _
Baseball and Football are totally different. Not too mention, the Saints rested players, TOLD us that they were not going in these games to win them, but yet were trying to get healthy for the playoffs. Celtics, again, not baseball, and totally different situation. Those guys are a bunch of old vets that had plenty of nagging injuries that hampered their play.. None of these things are comparable.

Again, no matter how you spin it, this is bad for the team..

Please do quit listening! Its obviously not good for you.

Ask the guys on the team if they didn't want to win!

I'm stuck at work and couldn't watch the video feed. Were the pants up or down today?

Its nice to see several names popping up in a baseball thread. Haven't seen some of them since the 1st half of the season. Amazing how things turn when you lose 2 in a row....

Who said you were guessing wildly? Who said the question was even directed to you? All i meant was what you said; that we will probably get in even if we lose.

Yea, baseball is much more mental than any sport. Confidence plays a much bigger role in baseball than it does in football. In football, you go out, and hit ppl, you block ppl, you catch, you run. Baseball has such a majorly different mental aspect. Momentum has a lot to do with confidence.

Oh so now we weren't trying to win?

Maybe the breaks didnt go our way. Maybe if the two balls caught on the wall go 5 feet further, the story is different. Maybe last night, Marze catches a break and gets a double play to get out of the inning or gets a strike called instead of a ball.

Geez people. We lost. Move on.

If you think our guys mailed it in, take it up with Robe.
