FERRIDAY, La. (AP) - A 30-year-old Ferriday man joined his
brother and three others in jail as the fifth person arrested in
connection with an April slaying.
Ferriday police have arrested Reginald J. Butler on a charge of
second-degree murder following a grand jury indictment.
The murder charge stems from the
April 3 fatal shooting of 25-year-old Reginald Green, who was
gunned down as he sat in a parked SUV. Police said he was shot
numerous times in the torso and head with a .223-caliber assault
rifle.
Ferriday Investigator Dennis Cowan said Butler allegedly drove
the vehicle the alleged shooter rode in while leaving the scene of
the crime.
