SHREVEPORT, La. (AP) - A Louisiana-based soldier has been killed
in Iraq.
The Department of Defense on Wednesday announced the death of
Louisiana Army National Guard Maj. Ronald W. Culver Jr., who was
supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Officials say Culver died Monday in Numaniyah, Iraq, when
insurgents attacked his vehicle with an improvised explosive
device. Culver was assigned to the 2nd Squadron, 108th Cavalry
Regiment based in Shreveport.
