You beat me to it! Thanks!

For what it's worth .... the twitter is much easier to follow on the iphone .... I was resistant to conform, oh well... the masses were right. Plus you can avoid all the chatter (like this bit for example)

With the loss, the second-seeded Cajuns will play the loser of the Middle Tennessee-Troy game at 12:30 p.m. Thursday.

The MTSU-Troy game is set to start in a few minutes.

The Cajuns will start first-team all-conference pitcher Zach Osborne against the Middle Tennessee-Troy loser at 12:30 p.m. Thursday.

Osborne is 8-3 this season with a 2.54 ERA. Could have been the Sun Belt Pitcher of the Year.

Troy is pounding Middle Tennessee, 6-0, with one out in the bottom of the 4th inning. And it's about 12:20 a.m.

Tough turnaround for the loser of this game.

Thread bump, with update on start time at 12:55 p.m. between the Cajuns and Middle Tennessee.

The Blue Raiders dropped all three games to the Cajuns in the regular season in Lafayette.

    Josh,

The Sun Belt has the #7 RPI. It has not had the #5 RPI in nearly two weeks. It entered the Sun Belt tournament as having the #6 RPI, holding a slim lead over the Big East. CUSA is pulling away in the #5 spot.

WKU had an RPI rank of 39 entering today's game. They will fall further after today. We will see after today's action, but probably somewhere in the #42 - #44 range.

While there is an outside chance they get in ... and it will depend on the # of stolen bids, I think they are out. T6th place finish, 6-9 over their last 15, 0-2 in the conference tournament (meaning finishing 8th in the Sun Belt), and now a borderline RPI (which was their strongest argument) ... does not look good.

I will perform a much more exhaustive analysis on Sunday when I can evaluate all of their competition for the last spots in the field of 64.

Brian: At last check, the Sun Belt was tied for 6th with the Big East, not seventh.

I forgot to refresh my page.

No, the Sun Belt is 7th. Boyd Nation does not publish the 4th decimal place on his web page. But he does calculate it and this is why he lists the Big East as 6th and the Sun Belt as 7th. I have the raw numbers and the Big East is .0003 ahead of the Sun Belt.

Great. All I can go on is the data I can find online, so I'm going to say there's a tie when that's what I see.

You might want to consider that when you jump to tell people they're wrong in the future.

    Thanks for your help.
