WOW no respect again from the Sun Belt. I was appalled at the softball snubs and now am equally disappointed in baseball. Louisiana has only 2 selections; one first team selection and one second team selection. We were the co-champs of the conference. WKU, the 8th place finisher, had 4 first team selections and 1 second team, Troy had 2 first team and 3 second team selections. Middle has 3 first teams selections and 1 second team. Our co-champ FAU had 2 first team and 2 second team selections.
If we were co-champs with virtually no outstanding talent (as evidenced by no selections)you would think Robe would have to be Coach of the Year . . . but no that award went to FAU.
The ladies used the lack of repsect and blistered the Sun Belt tournament. I think the guys will do the same. If this lack of respect doesn't fire up our guys, I don't know what will. It has obviously fired me up!!!
I understand your frustration, but personally I don't think any Cajuns besides Osborne, Keefer or Satriano were among the top two at their respective positions in the Sun Belt this year.

Agreed.
But there's no shame in Osborne, Frederick and coach Robe finishing behind those superlative award winners. (Little disappointed that Keefer wasn't a first team pick. Was the league's top all-around catcher.)
What would you rather have: a co-conference championship or four all-conference players? (If you could only have one.)

Osborne got snubbed imo. Ridings is great, but look at their stats. Os has a lower ERA, more strike outs, more complete games 4 to 1, and pitched a shutout. Ridings has more victories which is contingent on your offense scoring enough runs to win the game.
Os should have been named Sunbelt pitcher of the year.
Just my 2 cents. I think he'll prove it at 4 today.
Actually, Dayton Marze will get the start today to give Oz one extra day of rest since his start last week was moved back a day due to rain. I think its a smart move (assuming we win) by Coach Robe. I would rather have Oz against a good Middle team at home in the second round. This will allow our staff to go deeper into the tourney. I think Justin is expected to throw this weekend also (don't know how much though)
