Mexican authorities have arrested a man in connection with seven alleged sexual assaults, including five in Jones County.
Sheriff Alex Hodge, speaking at a news conference Tuesday in Laurel, says 33-year-old Miguel A. Orhos was arrested in Tabasco, Mexico, on May 19.
District Attorney Tony Buckley says a tip apparently led to Orhos' identification. Buckley says Orhos is facing 11 charges ranging from felony sexual assault to burglary.
Hodge says five Jones County women, one Lauderdale County woman and a New Iberia, La., woman have been the targets of sexual assaults since 2005.
Buckley says efforts are under way to bring Orhos back to Mississippi.
