Evangeline Parish - Bishop makes Eunice, Mamou appointments
LAFAYETTE (May 24) - Bishop Michael Jarrell has appointed new pastors at churches in Eunice and Mamou.
Monsignor Robert Romero will become pastor of St. Anthony of Padua Parish in Eunice and Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish in Duralde.
His six-year term is effective June 22, according to an announcement by Lafayette Diocese Bishop Michael Jarrell.
Romero has been pastor of St. Landry Catholic Church in Opelousas and at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ville Platte.
His appointment to the St. Anthony’s post is effective June 22.
