LOUISIANA La. — Need points?
Louisiana's Laurie Bridges scored 21 against the University of Mobile.
Running short on rebounds?
Bridges cleaned the glass for 9 caroms against No. 25 Dayton, 7 in a 3-point loss at No. 4 Arizona and 7 in Sun Belt Conference play against South Alabama.
If it’s sharing the ball you need, Bridges can provide assists, too.
He dished off for game-high totals five times this season, including 7 against Valparaiso, and is the team leader on the season with 46.
Getting the ball back is no problem, either.
Bridges had 5 steals against Loyola-New Orleans and has paced the team in thefts four times en route to 21 on the year.
A couple of times, Bridges even got up for a blocked shot.
The 6-foot-4 senior from New Orleans will do whatever it takes to win games, and it doesn’t really matter to him what that task is.
“At Carver, I went one-through-five,” Bridges said of his high school days at Carver High in New Orleans. “I’d bring the ball up against pressure. I shot it when we needed that. And I’d get the rebound if we had to have it.
“I’ve pretty much been like this my whole life.”
